Frequently Asked Questions

Helpful answers about Maritz Feeding Tube Belts, sizing, use, care, and everyday tube management.

we’re here to Answer all your questions

Unlike many feeding tube belts that rely on bulky pockets or wide waistbands, the Maritz Feeding Tube Belt is intentionally designed to be narrow, lightweight, and low profile while still providing secure tube support.

The belt features a unique double, color-coded Velcro securement system that makes it easy to access your feeding tube for medications, feedings, or daily care without complicated tape setups.

Another feature that sets the Maritz Feeding Tube Belt apart is the optional neck strap. It can hold your shirt up and out of the way during feedings or tube care, giving you a convenient hands-free experience. The neck strap also adds versatility by helping keep the belt in position, allowing the belt to be worn more loosely if desired, or it can be removed completely when it isn’t needed.

The result is a simple, comfortable tube management system designed to provide secure support, quick access, and customizable comfort for everyday life.

The Maritz Feeding Tube Belt is designed to reduce dependence on excessive tape setups for tube management. However, it does not replace physician-recommended stoma care, dressings, or medical instructions.

The belt uses a double, color-coded Velcro securement system to help hold the tube in place while still allowing easy access when needed. The adjustable design helps patients customize positioning for comfort and daily activities.

Yes. The belt and Maritz Comfort Wraps are machine washable. We recommend placing them in the included delicates laundry bag to protect product and other clothing from Velcro during washing and allowing them to air dry when possible.
Many caregivers appreciate the quick, simplified access and securement system during feeds, medication administration, cleaning, and daily care routines.
Yes. The Maritz Feeding Tube Belt was developed by a Radiation Therapist with over 2 decades of patient care experience and refined through years of real patient feedback and practical use.

The Maritz Feeding Tube Belt is designed to work with many common feeding tubes. This includes PEG tubes, G-tubes, J-tubes, GJ tubes, and other enteral feeding tubes or any combination of tubes on the abdomen or thorax, for example, ports or PD catheters. Because every medical situation is different, patients should follow their healthcare provider’s recommendations regarding tube care.

The Maritz Feeding Tube Belt is designed to:
  • Help secure feeding tubes comfortably to the body while reducing the need for taping and re-taping.
  • Reduce unnecessary pulling, tugging, and tube movement during normal daily activities
  • Allow quicker and easier access during feeds or care
  • Includes a removable neck strap to hold clothing up, out of the way while accessing the tube. The neck strap also allows the belt to be worn loose if needed and helps to keep the belt up and in place
  • Reduce bulk compared to tape-heavy setups or other belts
  • Allow airflow around the stoma area
  • Provide customizable comfort and positioning
Many patients and caregivers appreciate the lightweight feel, while still receiving secure and ease of daily use.
The belt is made from a thin, soft, non-roll elastic designed to reduce twisting and rolling during wear. Optional Maritz Comfort Wraps can be added anywhere extra cushioning or pressure relief is needed. Many users wear the belt throughout the day, while sleeping, and during normal daily activity for added comfort and tube support. In addition, because the belt is intentionally narrow, it can be moved anywhere on the abdomen or thorax as needed for optimum long-term use.

Many users choose to wear the belt while showering for additional tube security. We recommend thorough towel drying and then allowing the belt to dry fully afterward for comfort and product longevity. Many choose to have two belts to allow for washing and drying of the belt.

Yes. The adjustable design allows the belt to accommodate a wide variety of body shapes, tube placements, and comfort preferences. The system is intended to be flexible and customizable to individual needs. We believe the belt should fit the patient, not the patient fit the belt.

Sizing information is available on the product page. If you are between sizes, we encourage you to think about whether your size will go up or down in the future. This will offer you the most adjustment of the belt. Still unsure which option is best? Contact us and we will gladly help guide you toward the best fit. Because we offer a 30-day money back guarantee, size exchanges are accepted. However, Maritz Medical Solutions does not cover shipping on returns.

Insurance coverage varies by provider and individual plan. While Maritz Medical Solutions does not bill insurance directly, some patients may choose to independently pursue reimbursement consideration through their insurance provider, HSA, or FSA.

Some providers may reference HCPCS code A5200 (Percutaneous catheter/tube anchoring device) when submitting for reimbursement consideration, but coverage decisions vary by insurer and are not guaranteed.
